Weekly Update | January 19, 2024

Varsity cheerleaders are selling Valentine’s Day Candygrams!  You can send candygrams to other students, faculty, or staff as a way to say Happy Valentine’s Day! Parents and grandparents, this is a great way to send your Hooper Colt some extra love on Valentine’s Day! Candygrams will include a card for the recipient and CANDY! Candygrams will be delivered to classrooms by the cheerleaders on Wednesday, February 14th.  Candygrams are $1 each. Deadline to order is Friday, February 2. The order form is attached, OR see any varsity cheerleader to place your order. 

***Mrs. Renee Nelson has taken over as our Guidance Counselor.  If you need any help, please reach out to her at rnelson@hooperacademy.org.  We are excited to see her thrive in her new position while remaining in the classroom as well.

Please sign up to work concessions.  This is a great way to get your work assessment hours.

Reminder:  New tardy policy beginning January 2, 2024, unexcused tardies 4-6 gets break detention including trash pickup, 7 - one day of ISS, 8 - 2 days ISS, 9 - 3 days ISS, 10 and beyond one day of out of school suspension per unexcused tardy. 

Friday, January 19th - Basketball (all teams) vs. Macon East starting at 4:00 pm.  This is Senior Night starting at 6:00 pm or immediately following the JV Boys basketball game.  

Tuesday, January 23rd - Basketball (all teams) @ Edgewood starting at 4:00 pm

Thursday, January 25th - Basketball (all teams) @ Fort Dale starting at 4:00 pm

Friday, January 26th - Basketball (all teams) @ Lowndes starting at 4:00 pm

Saturday, January 27th - JV State Invitational Tournament @ Lakeside TBD

*Work assessment forms must be submitted within 30 days of the date the work was performed.  Otherwise, it will be invalid.

Reminder:  Monthly tuition payments are due by the 1st of each month and delinquent after the 15th.  After the 15th of the month a $25.00 late fee will be assessed. Statements will only be sent if your payment has not been received by the 25th of the month.  If your payment is not received before the 25th a $50.00 late fee will also be assessed.  If the account is not made current by the end of the month, your child/children will not be allowed to attend class. NEW POLICY: New returned check fee schedule - 1st check $50, 2nd check $75 and 3rd & beyond $100.  This is per year.
