Weekly Update | August 13, 2020

Saturday, August 15th  - There will be a work day this Saturday getting ready for the home football games starting at 8:00 AM until lunch. Concession stand cleaning, press box cleaning, bleacher area clean-up etc. Please bring brooms, blowers, weed eaters, cleaning supplies, and pressure washers. See Matt Jones if you have questions when you get there.

 

Saturday, August 15th - Fall Sports and ad pictures will be taken according to the schedule below. 

Pictures will be made in the gym.  We are asking everyone to wait outside until you are notified to come in to the gym.  Also, make sure your child is clean shaven, their hair is in dress code and they must wear a mask.

9:00 a.m. Varsity and JV Football (Senior banner pictures will be taken at this time the cost is $60)

9:30 a.m. Peewee Football

10:00 a.m. Varsity and JV Cheer

10:30 a.m. Peewee Cheer

11:00 a.m. Volleyball

11:30 a.m. ad pictures

 

Wednesday, August 19th - Grades K5 - 12th grade school pictures will be taken.  Daycare pictures will be taken on the August 31st. 

 

Athletes must pay their athletic fees of $25 (elementary) and $100 (Jr. High and High School) before they can participate in games. 

 

The PTA Membership form is attached.  Each family is encouraged to join the PTA.  The PTA funds a lot of the student activities on campus.  Every class that reaches 100% participation will receive $100 to be spent in their classroom and one lucky family will receive a tuition credit of 1 month's single student rate. Please join by Wednesday, September 30th.  The first class to reach 100% participation will also receive a $50 bonus for the teacher to use for classroom resources.

 

The PTA is looking forward to an exciting school year. We are kicking off the 2020-2021 school year with the annual Mum fundraiser.  Information for this fundraiser is attached.  These mums are big and beautiful.  Please support our PTA by placing your order by the September 8th deadline.  The class with the top sales will receive a party.

 

We have Hooper t-shirts available for purchase for $15 in the front office.

The Booster Club is asking families to please go and LIKE the Hooper Booster Club public page and to also join the Hooper Booster Club Facebook group.  The “page” is used to make public announcements like upcoming athletic and school events.  The “group” allows us to communicate directly with parents, grandparents, alumni, staff, and volunteers who have a vested interest in Hooper Academy that may need to be communicated internally with.  We try to keep all of our families well informed of what is happening at our school so they may participate and be a part of our growing family!

We are asking that all students bring hand sanitizer to use throughout the day and also a water bottle to use between classes as our water fountains will not be in use.  Please make sure that your child’s name is on his/her water bottle.

 

*Work assessment forms must be submitted within 30 days of the date the work was performed.  Otherwise it will be invalid. 

 

Reminder:  Monthly tuition payments are due by the 1st of each month and delinquent after the 15th.  After the 15th of the month a $25.00 late fee will be assessed.  Statements will only be sent if your payment has not been received by the 25th of the month.  If your payment is not received before the 25th a $50.00 late fee will also be assessed.  If the account is not made current by the end of the month, your child/children will not be allowed to attend class.
