Hooper Academy 2023-2024 Dress Code

Hooper Academy 2023-2024 Dress Code

Parents,

I really hope you have enjoyed your summer. I am looking forward to having the students back on campus and to have a great year. With the tax-free weekend coming up, I felt it important to get you the dress code in writing. I have attached to this email the dress code for 2023-2024. Please spend time to read it thoroughly because it will be enforced. I have highlighted a few areas of emphasis to make sure we are on the same page.

Parents of high school boys please do not allow your son to wear short shorts to school. If the shorts are more than 4 inches above the knee they will be asked to change and will not be allowed back in class until proper clothes are worn. If at any point a boy's underwear is showing from under his shorts, he will be asked to correct this issue. If the issue reoccurs, he will be asked to change. Boys are to be clean shaved with hair out of their eyes, off of their ears, and off of the collar.

Parents of high school girls please do not allow your daughter to wear leggings to school without a pair of shorts or skirt over them. If they wear these without a pair of shorts/skirt/dress over them they will be asked to change and not back allowed into class until the proper clothes are worn. They are allowed to wear leggings to PE with their coach's approval. Girls are not to have any visible piercings other than earrings.

Once again, please read through the Dress Code to make sure you are buying clothes and jewelry that are allowed. I have emphasized high school in this message, but the attached dress code also includes the lower school as well.

Our year has already started off GREAT with a State Championship by our cheerleaders in June, and I look forward to seeing all the kids back on campus August 10th. Hard to believe we are less than a month away from Volleyball starting up and we will be under the Friday Night Lights before you know it. Thank you for all the positive momentum we have gained through social media and word of mouth. We are still getting new student inquiries and calls so keep it up! Let's get ready for a great year and can't wait to see you all on campus!

Thank you,

Darryl Free
