Weekly Update | September 3, 2020

Per AISA Guidelines: 

A mask or other facial covering that covers the nostrils and mouth are required 

for spectators from entry until exit.  

Only varsity cheerleaders will be allowed to participate in the victory line on the field.  Only players, coaches, officials, cheerleaders and members of the chain gang are allowed on the field and sidelines.

Progress reports will be issued on Thursday, September 10th. All accounts must be current this includes tuition and student lunch accounts.

 

Reminder: Senior fall athletes who ordered a banner must pay for them no later than Tuesday, September 8th. Cost is $60 made payable to Hooper Academy.

We are looking for one or more persons to take over the Hooper Alumni tent responsibilities.  Everything you need is currently on hand and provided through the school.  The tent is set up prior to the Homecoming game as a place for Hooper Alumni to gather and fellowship.  It has been a positive attraction for returning Alumni and we would like for it to continue.  All hours will count toward work assessment requirements.  If you are interested, please call Tamara Casey Holcomb, Class of 1989  334-799-6996 or tamaracholcomb@gmail.com

 

Thursday, September 3rd - Volleyball @ Coosa Valley starting at 4:00 pm

Friday, September 4th - Varsity Football @ Pike Liberal Arts School starting @ 7:00 pm. Dress up theme is "Punk out the Patriots" dress like a rock star.  For games at Pike the visitors entrance is across from the baseball field and everyone must wear a mask.

Monday, September 7th - Labor Day Holiday

Tuesday, September 8th - Volleyball vs. Lowndes starting at 4:00 pm

                        JV/PeeWee football vs. Lowndes starting at 6:00 pm

Thursday, September 10th - Volleyball @ Crenshaw starting at 4:00 pm

Friday, September 11th - No Varsity Football

Friday, September 18th - Homecoming - everyone dismisses at Noon - Dress up themes for Homecoming Week will be announced next week.

 

Athletes must pay their athletic fees of $25 (elementary) and $100 (Jr. High and High School) before they can participate in games. 

 

We are asking that all students bring hand sanitizer to use throughout the day and also a water bottle to use between classes as our water fountains will not be in use.  Please make sure that your child’s name is on his/her water bottle.

*Work assessment forms must be submitted within 30 days of the date the work was performed.  Otherwise it will be invalid. 

 

Reminder:  Monthly tuition payments are due by the 1st of each month and delinquent after the 15th.  After the 15th of the month a $25.00 late fee will be assessed.  Statements will only be sent if your payment has not been received by the 25th of the month.  If your payment is not received before the 25th a $50.00 late fee will also be assessed.  If the account is not made current by the end of the month, your child/children will not be allowed to attend class.
